Another busy event day, this time our team joined Gilbert White’s House, at Selborne for their Nature Festival day. The day was all about the biodiversity of the South Downs and how to protect it!
It was amazing day full of activities and facts all about nature.
Not only did we take the bees to be observed and admired by the visitors, but extra interest was a live, probably a queen, European hornet. Showing the difference between various hornets gives more information and spreads awareness especially about the impact of the Asian Hornet which is spreading across the UK.
The rain had threatened on and off during the day but didn’t materialise until it was time to pack up at the end of the afternoon.
Our winter meetings are now a blended mixture of Zoom and in-person, please see ‘Events’ and our newsletter for dates, topics and links.
If you need help or advice with your bees please send a message using the Enquiry Form, or message us on Facebook or message Jean directly.
